The Super Bowl

Okay, so I have to admit I'm looking forward to the Davis's Super Bowl Party. In the midst of a day when I need to rest, clean, and prep for a new HelpDesk person starting tomorrow (YAY!), I've decided to justify the Super Bowl party by using that time to catch up on Facebook lists and chats. And think up 25 or so random things. (Can I do that? Justify one frivolous activity by using that time to accomplish another frivolous activity?)

Due to a facebook status (Joe Skillen), I stopped by the msn.com homepage to see everyone's favorite actor Windell on the front page. Windell was a college friend back at Sterling. We were never on the stage together - usually I was doing props or house manager - but were still part of various discussions on faith and theatre and acting and life. He traveled with ACT1 drama ministry team the summer before I did.

We got the rental house cleaned up and the keys turned in finally (yay!). The new students all got logged in and working on their logins last week. I had a wonderful time with my parents and L. when they visited the last three days. God's faithfulness has been evident in so many ways that it's been fun just to rejoice in it. (Thanks for your prayers!) And we've been praying for the anti-converstion law they're trying to pass in Sri Lanka.

Aren't you glad we serve a big God who cares about each detail of our lives? Praise God!

Me getting better.

I'm getting over the sick, but still struggling with a cough and a bit of a headache today. Probably due to a couple late nights.

Had a great time with the Lowry's and the Helms' on Monday night. Papa Murphy's pizza, the Helms' four kids, great fellowship, and a good time of sharing. Very much fun!

A. Lowry is here in the Dallas area getting special contacts for her eyes. When I saw her Tuesday afternoon, she was jumping up and down with excitement. She hadn't seen that well since she was in junior high! PLEASE PRAY for the continued fine tuning for the contacts and for complete healing for her eyes. They are really bad.

Me knows grammar. I know - my use of the word "me" recently has been astonishingly rampant. I'm not even using it to refer to one of my favorite friends. (i.e. Me has moved. I hope Me gets unpacked at her new place soon.)

I know. My grammar is getting worse with time, but I have a question for my grammatical friends to answer.

The light bulb in your kitchen light fixture burns out. You comment on it, saying:
a) That light bulb needs replaced.
b) That light bulb needs to be replaced.
c) That light bulb needs replacing.

Which would you normally say and which is grammatically correct?

Congrats to Andrew and Jaime!

Congrats to my college friends Andrew and Jaime on the arrival of their new little girl, Baby Abigail! It's been so fun to watch the blog updates and now to see that she's finally arrived! May the Lord bless you all (three) richly and help you sleep at night!
