It changed their lives

I was praying this morning about the internship and the seven weeks I'll have with my three girls after their return from India. I have things that I want to believe for in my life and for their lives and for our unity and journey together as the year ends. But sometimes I fear that unity and camaraderie will never happen. And how/why should I believe and praise God for something that may not happen?

Then I hear Brettin's voice from a discussion we had two years ago: "Jesus asked the disciples to believe He was returning soon. And he didn't - at least not in their definition of soon. But [their belief] changed the way they lived their lives."

It changed the way they lived their lives.
