The seven states that comprise Northeast India alternate between being majority Christian and majority Hindu. There is much civil and political unrest. Most of the people are part of small, family tribes. Few of the tribes trust each other. Alternate weather patterns of flooding and drought and you have -- like many other areas of India -- an area that is a challenge to minister.

The Apatami are one group of people in this area.
