Moving Day!
The big day is here! Jes moved her stuff in late this morning and Cas arrives this afternoon. Caz has been delayed until end of next week, so you can pray for her. (Pray that the delays get taken care of and she can get here as soon as possible.)
Pray for: humble hearts, wisdom in leading, servants attitudes, focus on God, communication with each other, solid foundation of Time with God.
Also pray for: Jen and I are sharing with some young ladies on Wednesday about honoring the Lord in our relationships. Would you please pray for the Lord's direction and words for us?
THANK YOU!

Getting ready and sonnets
Tonight...I am tired. The kind of tired where I could change into my long flannel dress and cuddle up with my grandmother's quilt in my Lazy Boy recliner and just write. Write stories and feelings and emotions and sagas. Write of the peace in my house and the excitement in my soul. Write of the countdown for Jes and Cas and Caz to arrive for the year. Write of anxiousness of my heart and the faithfulness of God's promises. How much God loves us! There is nothing we do that takes him by surprise and nothing we can do to turn him away from us.
Tonight, I feel my failures acutely. I feel like I'm still in the middle of them and can never get out from underneath them. But I also am captured by the Lord's unending love for me. He knows. He knows my deepest yearnings and my greatest joys and my worst failures and He loves me.
Honestly? I am in my long flannel dress with my grandmother's quilt in my Lazy Boy recliner. But it's not a night for sagas and GPR submissions. It's a night for me to Skype our Australia office about intranet changes and work on my newsletter. And get the kleenex box. Achoo!
You know the depths of my heart and You love me the same.
You are amazing God.

Kitchen unpacked
The kitchen has been unpacked and the couch cover is in the dryer. I planned on unpacking my bedroom tonight too, but it will have to wait.
PRAY for my three new interns that arrive in 10 days. Each of them are going through unique challenges as they raise support and prepare to say goodbye to their families.
There was a suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan this morning. It makes it all the more real when someone you care about is over there. Silly college roommate keeps traveling the globe - Pakistan, Guatemala, and now Afghanistan. :) I'm sure she'd appreciate your prayers too.
Stop by the GFA website and see the latest on the Orissa persecution. One of our pastors and his family have lost the church, their home, and all their possessions. PLEASE pray for them as they seek the Lord. The pastor needs healing after multiple beatings.

95 churches burned.
My bed is made and spread with the quilt made for me by my grandmother. And my computer training is ready for tomorrow morning.
The violence is dying down in Orissa, India, but the tension is still there. Compass Direct reports more than 800 attacks in Orissa state during the Christmas season. This Muslim paper quotes Dr. Joseph D'Souza saying that at least 4 Christians have been killed, 700+ houses destroyed, and 95 churches burned. Pray for the believers and the tribal people in this Indian state.
Quote for the evening: God is looking for broken people, not able people. -Brother K.P.

My welcome or my toothpaste?
So I'm in the middle of swapping houses. I've turned in the keys on my old rental house, but we're still waiting for the carpet to dry so we can move the furniture in on my new rental house. I've been camped on a friend's couch in my sleeping bag the last two nights.
I was on the way to brush my teeth this evening (at my friend's house) and noticed the minute amount of toothpaste left in my "trial size" that I had been carrying with me since the start of Christmas vacation.
"It's a close race!" I called to my friend upstairs. "Which will I run out of first? My welcome or my toothpaste?"
The answer came back immediately: "Your toothpaste!"
I have a wonderful friend!
