Someone out there is praying! This past week has been an amazing time of being filled with joy and peace in the midst of challenges and uncertainties. Whether praying for direction or being in the midst of conflict, God's peace has been there. It's been amazing. And it certainly hasn't been my doing.
Thank you! For all your prayers! I look forward to sharing with you His answers.

Prayers and more prayers
Thanks for your prayers for ML. She's trying a new pain medication tonight and has decided not to go to the neurologist for the time being. We'll keep praying and watching things.
I've got a couple big projects this weekend I'd like to seek the Lord and hear from the Lord about. You can continue to join me in prayer for:
1) The Lord's guidance on what part He wants me to play in this coming internship year.
2) A heart of unity and humility in the house...and clear communication.
Prayer points for the world:
1) The uprisings in Nepal are getting worse with police killing protestors, demonstrators, lawyers, and journalists. Many areas of the country have no access to food or needed supplies because of the strike. You can check Google news or any international news source for more information.
2) North Korea Freedom Week starts tomorrow (the 22nd) and Open Doors has information on how you and your church can pray. Visit their website at: http://www.opendoorsusa.org/Display.asp?Page=NKFreedomWeek

Prayer Request
ML, one of the interns that lives with me, banged the back of her head against a door frame two weeks ago. Today she told me that the resulting headache still hasn't gone away. Her head still throbs at times and she is dizzy when she stands up.
So we made a trip to the emergency room this afternoon where they did a cat scan, told us everything looked okay, and referred us to a neurologist. Oh, and charged us money.
Would you join us in prayer for direction and healing for ML? Thank you!

He is Risen!
He is risen, indeed!
I was blessed to spend Good Friday and Easter Sunday with my family in Kansas. I must admit, my family took priority over computer time, so my blogging suffered. How good it was don Dad's work clothes and my sister's work boots and help Dad with farm jobs. To feed dandelions to the bottle calf and wipe its slobber off my fingers. To spend time pounding, I mean... laughing with my ever-growing little brother and getting-bigger sister.
And to worship our all gracious and risen Lord- the one who gave up his life that we might know Him. My weekend trip ended with a visit to New Hopedale Mennonite Church in Meno, OK. The church members loved on me and encouraged me and blessed me tremendously.
It was with joyous hearts that we celebrated the resurrection of Christ -- knowing that because of our prayers and sacrifice, thousands of people in Asia were also celebrating for the first time.
Thank you.

Weekend with supporter
I enjoyed a laid-back several days with a visiting supporter/college friend. LauraT flew down from Kansas to visit me. We camped out in a borrowed apartment, stretched our muscles playing Ultimate Frisbee, visited the used bookstore, took in the Dallas historical sites, and wandered the Fort Worth Zoo. It was good just to hang out. Oh, and we also moved cabinets for Auntie C and worked on the B Family's computer. Laura was patient with me.
The office has started gearing up another notch for the Renewing Your Passion Conference at the end of June. You should come! www.gfa.org/conference
And I? I'm praying about whether to be a part of the internship for another year. I'd appreciate your prayers in this as well.
Pray for the GFA.org website as well. We're experiencing a series of DOS attacks, making the website inaccessible at times to our supporters and website visitors. Pray for the ceasing of the attacks and the salvation of those who are attacking it.

Checking off tasks
It's been a busy, quiet week with the Lord allowing me to catch up on some long overdue tasks.
I stopped by a staff home today where the wife homeschools the children and also transcribes incoming reports from the mission field. She had been unable to access her department task list for about eight months. The Lord took care of it (I barely changed any settings.) and we had it working in a matter of minutes.
The guys who control our air/heat at the office have been trying to serve the staff better (and control expenses) by adjusting the thermostat in large meeting rooms we don't regularly use. I stopped by today and showed them how/where to check the electronic resource calendars ahead of time so they can see when a meeting is planned.
One of my inters just got back this evening from the Gospel Music Association conference and Dove awards... Several of the artists they met there are interested in sharing the Bridge of Hope message at their concerts. It was neat to hear her stories and see her pictures -- she requests prayer for the bands and artists that heard about the ministry of GFA. Pray God will lay it on their hearts to be a part of what God is doing in Asia.

Sharing about GFA
We've had a couple opportunities in the last two weeks to share about the ministry with different groups of people. The church three of our interns attend called a special congregational meeting to hear about the intern's recent trip to India. About 20 adults from the church attended and it was a huge praise when 4 Bridge of Hope children and 4 missionaries were sponsored afterwards!!!
Acquire the Fire (huge youth conference) was in Dallas this past weekend, so we were down there helping youth groups get started sponsoring a child. Although we were manning the booth during a slow portion of the day, we were excited to hear about 40 children being sponsored by the end of the conference. YEAH!
The weather was beautiful Saturday afternoon, so four of us took a little time to walk downtown Dallas - visiting the "grassy knoll" where JFK was shot, the historic courthouse, Thanksgiving Square, and other local sites. On our way out of Dallas, we detoured through Deep Ellum - Dallas' punk rock/party district. We wouldn't have dared to go through there in the dark, but it was deserted in the mid-afternoon light.
The day served as a vivid reminder to us of both the lost in Asia and the lost in our own communities.
