The cake...

We had a wonderful evening with cake, ice cream, fellowship, movie, and a Chinese firedrill. The evening ended in laughter as one of the girls (who has heard a few of my college stories) instituted a rule: Every time someone said my name, everyone had to say, "Dorinda? I love Dorinda!"

Small Town Blessings

I'm working on a cake for a progressive dinner this evening. My apartment is the "cake and ice cream" stop. The cake is on the cooling rack, a pan of brownies is in the oven, and I'm trying to find my cake decorating tools.

I also couldn't find my recipie for chocolate buttercream icing, so I did what every normal person would do. I called my cake specialist at The Perfect Touch in Anthony, KS. Within 5 minutes, Eldon had me the recipie and a few tips; now the execution of the plan is up to me.

Hmm... I wonder if I have the ingredients to make coffee cake?

Praise the Lord!

The new version of GFAnet is up and running!  Hurrah!  Thank you for all your prayers.  The launch went very well and we'll continue to get everything updated.

On the mission field: Five Bible college students were attacked this morning while they were doing outreach ministry.  You can read the full report at http://www.gfa.org/gfa/newsupdate111706.  Please stop by and read the story.  You'll find more to pray about and praise the Lord about than I can print here on my blog.

GFAnet getting closer

Thank you guys for all your prayers on GFAnet.  It's getting closer and closer to ready to launch.  Your prayers are making a difference, we think we have the problem fixed and are tying up the final strings.

Specific prayer requests:
-Pray it would be ready to test tomorrow (Tues) morning
-Pray we would find all the bugs before it goes live
-Pray that we would know what new features to add now and which to wait to add later.

Like CS 110

We still don't have GFAnet ready to go for testing this week. Please continue to pray for us.

Something about this GFAnet project is reminding me of the many computer science classes I took with Cristi Gale. Let's say, hypoetically, that I have a group programming project. We're working together to design a gas station kiosk. Prof. Gale has told us that the completed programming part of the project is due on Wednesday. However, we don't have to present the project to the class/prof for evaluation until the next Monday at 10:50am. What day and what time will the programming project be completed?
