Our IT intern and myself are currently working on a new version of GFAnet - GFA's internal website. This site works to provide information (schedules, forms, project details) to the staff as well as to encourage community through prayer request and community event "boards."
We hope to have this new version ready for release...tomorrow evening.
Your prayers are appreciated. Pray for wisdom in deciding content and layout. Pray for clear communication. Pray for details not to be overlooked. Pray for things to run smoothly at the office tomorrow morning so we can focus on this project.
GFA Update: The GFA Christmas Catalog was mailed out last week. The office has been besieged by phone calls -- people are requesting more catalogs to give them to their friends. You can view it online.

At home, sick
Sitting in bed with flu/cold symptons slows me down enough to take time to post. Thanks for all your prayers for my recent trip to Kansas. Saturday was a lot of fun at Sterling College, seeing friends and visiting with my sister (current student) and our family. Sunday and Monday were filled with visiting supporters and sharing just a few stories of what God is doing in Asia. Some of the supporters I had not seen in 4 years, so it was wonderful to see them again. The weather was beautiful with a delightful fog covering the ML area on Monday morning - I enjoyed a quiet walk along the back dirt roads.
One of the things I shared about during the trip was the Road to Reality Internship. People would ask me what it was about. I replied that part of the goal of the internship was to challenge each intern to live their life, regardless of where God calls them, in light of the Great Commission.
Isn't that how we all should live?

Visit to Medicine Lodge - next weekend
We're in the middle of a stretch break at Friday Night Prayer, so wanted to update a few of my KS supporters on an upcoming trip. October 14th is Sterling College homecoming, so I'll be there with my family all day Saturday. Sunday morning I'll be visiting The Gospel Chapel in Hutchinson with supporters. I don't know yet if I'll be sharing about GFA there. You can pray for an opportunity to share. Sunday evening I'll be in Lake City, KS sharing with a home church about what the Lord is doing in Asia and about my role in the home office. If you are in the area and would like more information, email me thinkonit@yahoo.com or call me and I'll get you details and times.
I praise God for each one of you. As we've heard praise report after praise report tonight from the mission field, I continue to thank God for your prayers and support for those of us working in the home office. Our videographer just returned today from India and he shared how each of the missionaries he works with wants to thank those people in the US who are praying for them. Once again, the refrain echoes..."please, tell the people in America to pray for me. Please tell them thank you for praying."
You are making a difference.
Friday Night Prayer
Today is Friday all-night prayer. We’ll start at 8:00 and go until about 4AM. I’ve been asked to lead the worship segments between 2 and 4am. I warned the leaders that I tend to sing off-key after midnight. They thought that was okay—it would help everyone wake up more.
O Lord, that you would prepare our hearts for prayer. If there is anything not right between us and you or between us and a brother or sister in the Lord, show us that we might come, clean, into your presence.

More help - here and needed
We have a new part time volunteer in IT this week. The gentleman is from the Dallas area and volunteering two days a week as a Helpdesk assistant. It's a blessing to have him here, although we're still at the point of spending more time training than helping. As I spoke with him this evening, I shared a little piece of my vision -- things that I can see happening because he's here that might not have happened (as soon) otherwise.
We are still needing help for the one year IT internship in India. Interested? Call the GFA office at 1-800-WIN-ASIA and ask for me. I'll give you more information.

Big praise from the mission field
The news went up on the website about two weeks ago, but I had to make sure you heard about it. A new fellowship group has been started in a country that is very hard to reach with the Gospel. I can't give you all the details here, but you can read about it here at the GFA website. This country is ranked among the top 10 countries in the world for religious persecution.
Please join me in praising God for this church plant and in praying for these new believers.
